Pastor

Pastor D. Marie is a servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is anointed in the office of preaching and teaching, and is passionate in following the path laid out in 2 Timothy 2:15, which instructs us to “study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Pastor D. Marie was baptized at the age of 14, at the New Antioch Baptist Church, where she served in several capacity, before receiving the call into the Ministry. She was Licensed in June of 2005 by the New Antioch Church, and served as an Associate Minister under the leadership of Bishop Orlando A. Wilson, until transitioning to Pennsylvania. 

On October 13, 2013 she was licensed by American Baptist Churches of Pennsylvania and Delaware as an Associate Minister for the Martin Luther King Baptist Church of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She accepted her first Pastoral call to serve the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Lemoyne, PA in November 2015 and was ordained into Christian Ministry on September 17, 2017 by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Pennsylvania. 

Pastor D. Marie completed her Masters in Divinity for the School of Theology at Virginia Union University and a Masters of Arts and Religion for Lancaster Theological Seminary in May of 2016.  She is Post Graduate Fellow for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapist presently matriculating in the PhD in Marriage & Family Therapist Program at Eastern University. 

Pastor D. Marie is CEO & President of FACE-2-FACE Ministries; a Mental Health OutreacCenter she founded on November 11, 2016. She presently serves as Co-Director of the Race & Unity Action Coalition through Christian Church United of Pennsylvania; Creating safe space for hard conversation regarding race. In December 2020 she was selected to be a Community Leader for the Messiah College Thriving Together program; Congregations for Racial Justice. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and serves as Chaplain for the York Alumnae Chapter. 

In January 2020, following the Spirits lead, she began the process of planting Restoration Community Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) (RC3) in partnership New Church Ministries of the DOC. On January 3, 2021, RC3 held it's first virtual worship service on FB Live.

Pastor D. Marie is the only daughter of Mary Pauling and the proud mother of Aariona, Aaron, Aarica & Asher thee Pup.
